Product Description:
The Steinel US 360 DALI-2 Presence Detector is a high-performance ultrasonic sensor designed for professional indoor spaces such as classrooms, offices, conference rooms, and washrooms. Its 360° ultrasonic detection technology offers coverage over a 36 m² area, unaffected by obstacles. This makes it ideal for environments where traditional PIR sensors may be obstructed by objects.
Integrated with DALI-2 systems, the US 360 collects and communicates sensor data, ensuring seamless interaction with lighting management systems like LiveLink. With a concealed installation design, this sensor blends into ceilings for a discreet yet effective presence detection solution.

With the introduction of DALI-2, the undisputed lighting control protocol remains DALI. As the acronym suggests "Digital Addressable Lighting Interface" is limited to the lighting domain, however a number of suppliers are blurring the lines attempting to do more.
Building protocols like KNX and BACNet have gateways to DALI.
Backwards DALI compatible, controllers can manage both earlier DALI devices as well as the latest colour tuneable DT8 lights. With a full lighting ecosystem of products, it's sometimes simpler and easier to constrain a solution to DALI alone.
The DALI-2 standard mandates multi-vendor interoperability. Be careful and ask, as some vendors claim DALI-2, yet are still proprietary as they cannot interoperate with other vendors' DALI-2 components.
